CBT Life Coaching for Teens and Young Adults with ADHD
Teens and young adults (14-35 years) who face challenges related to ADHD can achieve success through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Life Coaching. This approach focuses on addressing the core symptoms of ADHD, namely inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. By adopting tailored strategies, individuals can develop the necessary skills for various aspects of their lives, including academics, careers, and emotional and interpersonal relationships. Key focus areas during coaching include goal setting, prioritization, motivation, organization, problem-solving, stress management, impulse control, confidence building, self-esteem enhancement, relationship development, and communication skills.
As a certified ADHD Life Coach and CBT Practitioner holding an MSc. in psychology, I have witnessed notable improvements in my coaching clients’ executive functioning, study skills, time management abilities, self-awareness, self-esteem, and overall satisfaction with their educational and professional pursuits.
Consistency is vital for the client’s progress, and regular sessions and check-ins are crucial components of the coaching process (sessions are offered by online platforms or over the phone). We begin with an initial complimentary session to assess the client’s needs, expectations, and fees (note that traditional health insurance typically does not cover coaching services).
